Job summary

YMCA DownsLink Group in Guildford invites Bank Support Workers to join our Guildford Foyer. This flexible bank role offers ad hoc shifts seven days a week, including 08:00-16:00 and 14:00-22:00 patterns, with particular coverage for 14:00-22:00 on Tue, Thu, Sat and Sun.

You will work with our team to support residents and help them access opportunities. The Guildford Foyer provides 33-bed supported accommodation for young people aged 16 to 25.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people or within a supported housing, care, education or community setting.
• Ability to be approachable, compassionate and resilient.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical and emotional support to residents.
• Build positive relationships with young people and help navigate challenges.
• Offer signposting around housing/tenancy, budgeting, independent living, education/employment, health and wellbeing, and community connections.
• Contribute to safe, well-staffed day-to-day running of the service.
