Job summary

The Ceredigion County Council Direct Payment Support Service in Castle Douglas is seeking Bank Support Practitioners. You will cover shifts to ensure high-quality, person-centred care during annual leave, training or sickness, with flexible days and hours.

No prior care experience required; training is provided. A UK Driving Licence (Manual) and access to your own car are essential to travel within the community and support people in their homes.

Responsibilities

• Cover shifts to ensure high-quality, person-centred care during annual leave, training or sickness.
• Support individuals living in their own homes in the community with disabilities and/or additional support needs.
• Assist with daily living tasks including meal preparation, medication, appointments, personal finances, moving and handling, and personal care.
• Provide emotional support and help individuals maintain relationships with family and friends.
• Encourage participation in activities and hobbies within the community.
