Job summary

YMCA DownsLink Group in Brighton and Hove is seeking Bank Supported Housing Support Workers to join our 24-hour high support services for young people aged 16-25. This sessional role offers flexible day, evening, night, weekend and bank holiday shifts across our supported housing sites Gareth Stacey House and Lansworth House.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people or within a supported housing, care, education or community setting.
• Understanding of challenges, risks and opportunities facing young people and a passion to help them achieve positive outcomes.
• Approachable, compassionate and resilient with a commitment to empowering young people.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical and emotional support to residents.
• Build positive relationships with young people to aid personal development.
• Signpost housing, budgeting and independent living support.
• Support education, training and employment opportunities.
• Assist with health, wellbeing and community connections.
