Job summary

YMCA DownsLink Group is seeking Bank Supported Housing Support Workers to join our Worthing Foyer. The role offers maximum flexibility with day, evening, night, weekend and bank holiday shifts throughout the year.

You will provide practical and emotional support to residents aged 16 to 25, helping with housing, budgeting, independent living, education and health while building positive relationships. We value safeguarding and a compassionate, reliable approach.

Qualifications

• Experience with young people or in supported housing, care, education or community settings.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including days/evenings/nights and weekends.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Approachable, compassionate and resilient with a people-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical and emotional support to residents.
• Build positive relationships and help navigate challenges.
• Signpost and support in housing, budgeting, independent living, education, health and wellbeing.
• Contribute to safe, well-staffed day-to-day running of the service.
• Help residents access opportunities that support their development and future aspirations.
