Job summary

Southdown Housing Association in Worthing is seeking a Bank Support Worker to assist adults with learning disabilities across Sussex. You will help clients access the community and support daily living tasks in a compassionate, empowering manner.

The role offers a bank/zero-hours schedule with a pay rate of £15.07 per hour (including holiday pay) and full training. Location is South Farm Road, Worthing, with DBS clearance provided by Southdown.

Qualifications

• A patient, empathetic mindset.
• Willingness to complete health and social care training, moving and handling, and safeguarding.
• Enhanced DBS check paid by Southdown.
• Live within commuting distance or willing to relocate.
• Experience with learning disabilities or mental health is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support people with learning disabilities to access their community and enjoy activities.
• Help with everyday tasks such as cleaning, cooking and personal care.
• Encourage independence and confidence through empowering care.
• Attend full training provided by the employer.
