Job summary

Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Bank Facilities Assistant to join the John Eastwood Hospice facilities team in Sutton-in-Ashfield. The role covers cleaning, catering and portering across hospital sites, with a focus on patient and staff wellbeing.

This is a zero hours contract with flexible weekend and bank holiday shifts. Full training will be provided; Level 2 Food Safety is preferred, and candidates must meet NHS safeguarding and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Understanding of cleanliness and good hygiene practices.
• Level 2 Food Safety Certificate or to work towards within 12 months of employment.
• Understanding of routine work procedures developed through on the job training / experience.
• Recognised catering, cleaning or support services qualification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high standard of cleanliness, infection prevention, and food hygiene in line with legislation.
• Provide caring catering and serving patient meals according to requirements.
• Assist in portering and other facilities duties as needed to support patients and staff.
• Attend mandatory and site-specific training as required.
