Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an IFM Facilities Assistant to provide a high-quality Domestic, Catering and Portering service across hospital, health centre and clinic settings. The role may involve working alone or as part of a team to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.

The post involves duties across Domestic, Catering and Portering areas, including cleaning tasks, waste disposal, and liaising with delivery drivers.

Responsibilities

To maintain a high quality Domestic, Catering and Portering service to hospital, health centre, and clinic settings within clinical and non-clinical areas.
Working either individually or as part of a team in ensuring a clean and safe environment is maintained for patients, staff and visitors following agreed work schedules, methods and procedures.
To provide a high quality Domestic and Portering Service to hospital, health centre and clinic settings within clinical and non-clinical areas including:
Cleaning of sanitary ware, treatment rooms, waiting areas, office areas, kitchen areas, mirrors, internal glass, high and low dusting, washing of tiled services and paintwork.
Cleaning of crockery, cutlery, utensils, etc. either manually or through ward based dishwashers (as per work schedule).
Disposal of waste in accordance with the Trust Waste Policy.
Accurate completion of all required documentation to support specific service processes, eg Barrier or Terminal cleans.
