Job summary

Barnsley College is seeking an ALS Support Worker to provide personalised support to students with learning needs, including EHCPs. You’ll work one-to-one or in small groups, help learners overcome barriers, and support engagement with classroom activities while maintaining dignity and independence.

You’ll collaborate with teachers to tailor approaches, monitor progress, and contribute to reviews and EHCP processes, offering emotional and pastoral support to build confidence and resilience.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and patient with students.
• Able to build positive relationships with learners, families and colleagues.
• Experience with people with learning difficulties or disabilities is beneficial.
