Axcis Education is currently seeking a passionate PE Teacher for ad-hoc supply at a primary school in Cheam, Sutton. The role focuses on delivering engaging PE lessons across the primary age range during supply days.

The ideal candidate holds QTS or equivalent, has UK primary PE experience, strong classroom management, and a genuine love of sport. Flexible, reliable supply work with potential for longer-term opportunities is offered.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching PE within a UK primary school setting.
• Strong knowledge of primary PE.
• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to engage pupils across different age groups.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A genuine passion for sport and physical education.
• Flexibility and reliability when working on a supply basis.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons across the primary age range.
• Teach a range of physical activities and sports.
• Adapt activities to suit different ages, abilities and needs.
• Encourage pupils to develop confidence, teamwork and positive attitudes towards physical activity.
• Maintain a safe, positive and well-managed learning environment.
• Manage behaviour effectively and maintain high expectations.
• Work alongside class teachers and wider school staff.
• Follow lesson plans and school expectations when providing supply cover.
