Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Workshop Shift Supervisor at the West Midlands Workshop. The role involves leading a team of technicians, delivering safe, quality and efficient workshop operations across a rotating shift pattern, with a view to career development.

The position offers a permanent contract, a salary around £46k with weekly shift allowance and weekend uplift, plus a generous pension and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Qualified to Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle or equivalent.
• Experience leading vehicle technicians with strong H&S knowledge.
• Valid UK manual driving licence; HGV licence preferred.
• Flexible to support a rotating shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations across a shift in line with production planning.
• Perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and repair on vehicles.
• Use personal toolkit for routine maintenance and repairs.
• Manage stock control and ensure vehicle documentation meets requirements.
