Job summary

Royal Mail is recruiting a Workshop Shift Supervisor for the Croydon Workshop on a permanent contract. The role reports to the Fleet Workshop Manager and focuses on leading a shift, ensuring safety, quality and efficient production in a modern, fully equipped workshop.

You will oversee technicians, manage inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of vehicles and equipment, and control stock and documentation. The package includes strong pension and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Qualified mechanic with IMI Level 3 (Light/Heavy)
• Experience leading vehicle technicians
• Full UK manual driving license; ideally HGV

Responsibilities

• Lead weekly team meetings and shift huddles.
• Supervise inspections, diagnostics and repairs on vehicles and equipment.
• Manage stock control and ensure accurate work orders.
• Ensure safety, quality and efficiency in the workshop.
