Job summary

Ocado Logistics is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Technician to keep our delivery fleet safe and efficient. You will perform routine maintenance, repair, and installation of vehicle technology, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational needs.

The role involves diagnosing faults, carrying out mechanical and electrical repairs, and maintaining inventory and documentation. A UK driving licence is essential for travel to sites as required.

Qualifications

• UK Driving Licence required for occasional travel.
• Proven mechanical expertise in motor vehicle maintenance.
• Diagnostic fault-finding skills to identify root causes.
• Electrical repair capabilities and installation/removal of vehicle tech.
• Experience with LGV equipment and related components.
• Knowledge of Safe Systems of Work and general H&S requirements.

Responsibilities

• Execute mechanical repairs including electrical work and defect repairs as documented.
• Install and remove critical vehicle technology like telematics and collision cameras.
• Perform health checks on vans and assess refrigeration unit defects before specialist calls.
• Maintain site equipment and perform minor repairs on LGV components.
• Order spare parts, manage stock, and complete cost/insurance documentation.
