Job summary

Ocado Logistics is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Technician in the UK to keep our delivery fleet safe and efficient. You will perform routine maintenance, repairs, and install vehicle technology such as telematics and cameras, ensuring safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• UK Driving Licence required for occasional travel to other locations.
• Proven mechanical expertise in motor vehicle maintenance, repair, engineering, or manufacture.
• Diagnostic fault-finding skills to identify root causes of mechanical/electrical issues.
• Electrical skills for vehicle repairs and installation/removal of technology like telematics and cameras.
• Experience with LGV equipment and minor repairs on heavy goods vehicle components.
• Familiarity with workshop safety and relevant regulations (Safe Systems of Work/H&S).
• Ability to use specialised tools and work at heights.
• Administrative accuracy for defect documents and parts ordering.
• Basic computer literacy to manage parts ordering and digital records.

Responsibilities

• Execute mechanical repairs including electrical work and defect repairs.
• Install or remove critical vehicle technology such as telematics and collision cameras.
• Perform periodic health checks and assess refrigeration unit defects before engineer call-outs.
• Maintain site equipment and small repairs to LGV gear and delivery tools.
• Order spare parts, control stock, and complete cost and insurance paperwork.
