Job summary

TLP in Southampton, Hampshire, is seeking an experienced Fleet & Transport Manager to lead the safe, compliant and efficient operation of its fleet, plant and equipment. The role covers day-to-day and strategic management, with ownership of fleet strategy and supplier performance.

You will manage a diverse fleet, drive continuous improvement, and work to ensure regulatory compliance while supporting budgeting and performance reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in Fleet Management or Transport Management with strong Operator Licence knowledge.
• Experience managing a diverse fleet and supplier contracts.
• Proficient with fleet management systems and Microsoft Office.
• IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.

Responsibilities

• Manage Operator Licence compliance and support Earned Recognition.
• Ensure vehicles, plant, tools and equipment meet compliance requirements.
• Oversee fleet and plant availability, maintenance, inspections, testing and calibration.
• Lead vehicle replacement, inspections, telematics and branding.
• Produce and monitor fleet KPIs and reports.
• Lead, coach and develop Transport team.
• Support budgeting, cost control and supplier performance.
• Drive continuous improvement in fleet safety and efficiency.
