Dyfed Powys Police and Crime Commissioner invites applications for a Fleet Technician (Carmarthen) to service, repair, diagnose and commission fleet vehicles to support policing operations.

You will apply maintenance procedures, use diagnostic tools, and install emergency lighting and other vehicle systems while upholding safety standards and continuing professional development. Hybrid working is available.

Job Advert Description: An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us as a Fleet Technician (Carmarthen) in the Fleet Department.

What you will be doing?

To service, repair, diagnose and commission Fleet vehicles in an efficient and timely manner, supporting operational policing and departmental requirements.

Role Specific Tasks:

• 1. Responsible for conducting services and repairs to force vehicles to meet MOT and Dyfed Powys police standards. This requires applying practical maintenance procedures and using specialist diagnostic tools and equipment to ensure vehicles are safe to operate in the policing environment.
• 2. Understand and implement relevant fleet policies and safety regulations whilst maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge through continual professional development.
• 3. Responsible for installing and maintaining specialist police vehicle systems such as emergency lighting, communications and operational equipment.
