Job summary

North Star is seeking an experienced Technical Superintendent to own the technical performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance of a portfolio of offshore vessels. You will influence fleet performance, lead engineering projects and ensure assets are safe, available and ready to respond.

You will collaborate with Fleet Managers, Masters and shore-based teams to deliver outstanding technical results and optimise maintenance, budgets and lifecycle upgrades across the fleet.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining offshore vessels and fleets.
• Proven ability to assure technical integrity and compliance.
• Skilled in budgeting and cost control for marine assets.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
• Knowledge of Class, Flag, and statutory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical performance and operational readiness of assigned vessels.
• Drive maintenance, reliability and defect elimination programmes.
• Manage repairs, dry dockings, upgrades and lifecycle projects.
• Ensure compliance with Class, Flag, statutory and company requirements.
• Manage budgets and supplier performance.
• Support incident investigations and continuous improvement.
• Provide technical leadership to improve safety, reliability and availability.
