Job summary

North Star Shipping in Aberdeen is seeking an experienced Technical Superintendent to own the technical performance, reliability and compliance of a portfolio of offshore vessels. You will influence fleet performance, lead complex engineering projects and ensure assets remain safe, available and ready to respond.

You’ll collaborate with Fleet Managers, Masters and shore teams to deliver outstanding technical performance, manage budgets and drive maintenance, dry-dockings and lifecycle upgrades.

Qualifications

• Experience in vessel maintenance, technical assurance, regulatory compliance and budget management within offshore/marine environments.

Every day, North Star vessels support critical offshore operations across the North Sea. From emergency response and rescue readiness to maintenance support and marine logistics, our ERRVs, MRSVs and PSVs play a vital role in keeping people safe and offshore operations running.

We're looking for an experienced Technical Superintendent to take ownership of the technical performance, reliability and compliance of a portfolio of vessels. This is an opportunity to influence fleet performance, lead complex engineering projects and ensure our assets remain safe, available and ready to respond whenever required.

Working as part of an integrated Fleet Team, you'll collaborate with Fleet Managers, Masters, Chief Engineers and specialist shore-based teams to deliver outstanding technical performance across one of the UK's leading offshore vessel fleets.

What you'll be doing

• Leading the technical performance and operational readiness of assigned vessels.

• Driving maintenance, reliability and defect elimination programmes.

• Managing repairs, dry dockings, upgrades and lifecycle improvement projects.
