Job summary

Seapeak is seeking a Fleet Support Officer (Purchasing Officer) in Glasgow to manage the full purchasing cycle for our fleet, ensuring parts, materials and services arrive on time. You will coordinate logistics, service attendances and repairs, and work closely with Vessel Managers to keep operations running smoothly.

Ideal candidates will have purchasing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple streams of work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Proven purchasing experience (Buyer or similar).
• Strong attention to detail and organised approach.
• Good communication and customer-focused mindset.
• Comfortable using IT systems for procurement and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Manage full purchasing process for assigned vessels: sourcing, ordering, delivery coordination and invoice management.
• Coordinate logistics to ensure spares and consumables reach vessels when required; arrange service attendances and repairs (planned and unplanned).
• Support dry-dock planning; liaise with shipyards, vendors and classification societies; keep procurement systems up to date.
• Contribute to budgeting, manage disbursements and cash-to-master requests; ensure compliance with procurement procedures.
• Respond quickly to issues and maintain collaboration and high-quality customer service to support safe, efficient vessel operations.
