Fleet Operations Manager, Regional Fleet Management

We are seeking a Fleet Operations Manager responsible for safety, compliance, availability, and customer satisfaction of the fleet in their respective region of Germany. The successful candidate will execute business strategies, invent and simplify solutions for optimal outcomes, and implement best practices within the larger fleet organization across Europe.

Key Responsibilities

1. Ensure vehicles are roadworthy and compliant with local regulations and Amazon standards through audits and regional feedback, collaborating with Fleet Compliance and Product teams.
2. Execute existing fleet initiatives and support new product launches, engaging with delivery partners to manage their fleet effectively.
3. Influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex operational challenges, managing escalations and stakeholder relationships.
4. Manage vehicle operational readiness and standards by analyzing data from various fleet management sources to enhance customer experience.
5. This role is based in a delivery station within Germany, with 30-40% travel across the region and occasional travel across Europe.

About the Team

Amazon Logistics (AMZL) handles last-mile delivery in partnership with third-party distributors, focusing on continuous improvement and innovative delivery solutions, including electric vehicles, to enhance customer experience and reduce environmental impact.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience in influencing and building partnerships with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work effectively across organizations, cultures, and management levels
• Strong prioritization skills in high-volume environments
• Excellent communication skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Proficiency in German and English
• Preferred: Location in Eastern Germany, including Berlin and Leipzig

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree such as Master’s or MBA
• Relevant experience in fleet management, operations, or mobility services
