Job summary

East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust is seeking a reliable driver to collect and deliver Trust vehicles across the region, performing extended road tests to ensure readiness for service. The role involves shift work including early/late, weekends and Bank Holidays, with responsibilities for checking tyres, lights, coolant and fuel before journeys.

You will report defects to the Workshop Supervisor, keep fuel cards and devices secure, and liaise with Fleet Administrators to confirm

Qualifications

• Full UK Manual Driving Licence ideally including C1
• NVQ level 2 in appropriate subject or relevant experience
• English and Maths GCSEs Level 4 or equivalent level of education

Responsibilities

• Drive collection and delivery of Trust vehicles to workshop locations and other repairers
• Carry out vehicle checks before journeys (tyres, lights, coolant, fuel)
• Report defects after road tests to Workshop Supervisor or Manager
• Maintain security of fuel cards and mobile devices during work
• Liaise with Fleet Administrators to confirm availability for work
