Job summary

The East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust in Northampton is recruiting two part-time Fleet Driver/Cleaner roles (15 hours per week) to join the Northampton Fleet Workshop. This NHSAfC Band 2 post combines driving ambulances with workshop cleaning duties on a weekend pattern (two days, Saturday and Sunday).

You will collect and deliver vehicles within the trust, move parts and equipment, maintain a tidy workshop, and support safe and efficient fleet operations in line with EMAS values of

Qualifications

• Full clean driving licence
• Category A old style licence or C1 new style licence
• Able to follow written/verbal instructions
• Experience of cleaning
• Experience working without supervision

Responsibilities

• Carry out driving duties collecting and delivering ambulances within the trust and occasionally beyond.
• Collect and deliver ambulances, vehicle parts, tools and items to support day-to-day service delivery.
• Adhere to trust values and keep vehicles roadworthy when applicable.
• Ensure the workshop is clean and tidy.
• Move parts and medical equipment, with lifting/carrying requirements.
• Follow policies and procedures of EMAS; ensure patient safety and risk management compliance.
