Octopus Energy is seeking a Vehicle Operations Specialist to join the Downtime-focused team. You will oversee hire vehicle performance, drive cost recovery initiatives and provide actionable operational insights using data to improve processes across Vehicle Operations.

The role emphasizes commercial acumen, data confidence and the ability to challenge processes constructively while building scalable reporting and analytics capabilities.

Qualifications

• Understands how operational decisions affect cost and recovery of spend.
• Able to spot trends in data and communicate insights.
• Comfortable challenging performance or processes when needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage hire vehicle performance across active cases, tracking duration, cost, extensions and actions.
• Track cost recovery and follow up on outstanding contributions from manufacturers and partners.
• Analyze operational performance to identify risks and opportunities in Downtime and Operations.
• Create, maintain and improve trackers, reports and dashboards in Excel/Google Sheets.
• Provide constructive feedback to Vehicle Operations Specialists and maintain good working relationships.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows and reporting.
• Use technology/AI tools to enhance reporting and productivity, and learn new systems.
• Support repair progress by coordinating with partners to understand delays and blockers.
