Rail Experience Is Essential
This role is based in the Doncaster area and involves leading the Wagon Fleet Maintenance Management Team. The candidate will ensure maintenance delivery according to plans and schemes of work. This role fulfills the responsibilities of the Entity in Charge of Maintenance (ECM), specifically ECM3.
Principle Accountabilities
- Ensure wagon compliance with maintenance management regulations (ECM).
- Manage and develop the Wagon Fleet Maintenance Management Team through coaching, mentoring, and training.
- Lead maintenance activities, collaborating with stakeholders to communicate and execute plans.
- Maintain wagons to meet business requirements, identifying efficiencies.
- Manage wagon maintenance activities, aligning capacity, resources, and materials.
- Ensure vehicles are presented to maintenance locations as per plans.
- Control the Wagon Fleet Maintenance budget in coordination with finance and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Asset Management & Maintenance functions to manage depot workloads and plan execution.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, including asset details, defect reports, and warranties.
- Lead continuous improvement strategies, including development of the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system.
Experience
- Minimum five years in an engineering environment.
- Maintenance management experience, including planning and monitoring fleets/assets.
- Technical knowledge of railway traction and rolling stock or similar industries.
- Management skills, including financial and safety management.
- Experience with EAM systems like Maximo, SAP.
- Data analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerBI, etc.
- Strong communication skills for all organizational levels.
Qualifications And Accreditations
- BEng or equivalent in STEM or relevant experience.
- Personal track safety certificate (including AC & DC electrified lines).
- Driving Licence.
