Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a leading PLC business who are looking for a Shift Maintenance Manager to join their facility near Mansfield.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Shift Maintenance Manager will provide management and leadership to a team of 14 members, including 2 Senior Maintenance Engineers, 7 Maintenance Engineers, and 5 Technical Operators.

This role is suitable for a Shift Maintenance Manager who can provide coaching and mentoring to the team, alongside engaging in hands-on maintenance activities.

The duties of the Shift Maintenance Manager include:

  1. Managing and coordinating the activities of the shift team
  2. Training, coaching, and mentoring the shift team
  3. Carrying out maintenance and servicing of all onsite automated equipment
  4. Performing planned and reactive repairs of automated material handling equipment
  5. Fault-finding and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
  6. Responding promptly to automation faults and breakdowns
  7. Completing reports using CMMS and Microsoft software packages
  8. Leading shift handover meetings and supporting other site meetings
