Job summary

Centurion Truck Rental is seeking a technically minded Maintenance Advisor to join our vehicle maintenance team. You will review repair estimates, negotiate with suppliers, and keep costs fair while ensuring fleet availability.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience in HGV or automotive maintenance, strong communication, and good IT skills. You will liaise with customers and suppliers to deliver value and clarity on maintenance work.

Qualifications

• Solid technical understanding of commercial vehicle, HGV, trailer or automotive maintenance.
• Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of balancing cost control, customer service and vehicle compliance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Review repair estimates, labour times and parts costs to ensure accuracy and value.
• Challenge excessive quotations and negotiate with suppliers.
• Communicate with customers on work carried out and completed.
• Supply accurate and timely estimates for necessary work when requested.
• Greet customers on site and respond to queries via email and phone.
• Prepare and maintain documentation.
• Liaise with internal and external customers and suppliers.
