Job summary

SRG Recruitment Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a dynamic Transport Operations Manager to lead our transportation and logistics functions. You will oversee end-to-end transportation activities, coordinating with clients and internal teams to drive efficiency, cost control, and service quality.

The role requires hands-on fleet management experience, CPC in Road Haulage preferred, and a proactive approach to process improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in Transport with fleet management and problem solving.
• Operators Licence ideal but not essential.
• Thorough knowledge of UK transport legislation and drivers' hours rules.
• Experience in planning, running and delivering projects on time.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily transportation operations and fleet management.
• Coordinate between clients, customers and delivery addresses to ensure service excellence.
• Provide cover to Transport Manager in absence or leave.
• Lead operational projects across the business.
• Support management with business growth and process improvements.
• Train staff on new processes and innovations.
• Provide weekend and out-of-hours on-call cover in a shared rota.
• Assist with quotes and tenders and build client relationships.
