Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is seeking a Transport Supervisor to plan, optimise and control all deliveries, collections and returns across the transport operation.

You will monitor emails, plan client collections, route optimisation, allocate driver resources including agency and subcontractors, and maintain strong relationships with providers and internal teams.

This role requires a proactive, customer-first approach, resilience under pressure and commercial awareness to manage costs effectively.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a fleet of up to 20 vehicles and 50 trailers.
• Certificate of Professional Competence would be advantageous, but not essential.
• Commercial awareness & cost management.
• Resilience and ability to perform under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and action all emails in a timely manner.
• Ensure all client collections are planned.
• Ensure driver routes are optimized and take into account fuel cost, drivers hours.
• Allocate driver resource to all routes (employed, agency and subcontractor).
• Develop and maintain relationships with all external providers and internal departments.
• Produce daily run sheets for all drivers.
• Plan all returns in consultation with the site returns team.
• Complete inbound log for warehouse visibility of inbound loads.
• Ensure all returns are booked in as per customer requirements.
