Job summary

Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service (HWFRS) is seeking a Fleet & Transport Manager to support the Operational Logistics Manager. You will oversee the fleet of fire appliances, specialist vehicles, cars and vans, ensuring maintenance regimes meet legal and operational standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 4 or equivalent.
• Recognised management qualification.
• IRTE membership or equivalent.
• CPC in National Road Haulage.
• Current driving licence.
• Experience in people and budget management in a fleet environment.
• Experience using fleet management systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the Operational Logistics Manager in provisioning and maintaining the right fleet and tools for staff.
• Lead transport and fleet management across HWFRS to meet legal and operational standards.
• Be involved in design and procurement of service vehicles and shape future fleet.
• Based in Malvern with possible remote work at fire stations in two counties.
