Diamond Search Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced HGV Mechanic/Technician to join a busy workshop near Sittingbourne, Kent. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing a company fleet of heavy vehicles to high standards.

You will perform diagnostic tests, preventive maintenance and MOT preparation, with opportunities for career progression within the workshop. The role offers a starting salary of £50,000 per year plus overtime at 1.5x, pension, holidays and company incentives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years proven and stable employment background as an HGV Technician in a busy workshop.
• A qualification to City and Guilds Level II or NVQ Level III in Vehicle Mechanics.
• Ability to use diagnosis/diagnostic equipment.
• Ambitious with potential for career progression.
• Class 1 or 2 license advantageous; company may sponsor after qualifying period.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on the company fleet of heavy vehicles.
• Carry out regular inspections and preventive maintenance (tyre rotation, oil changes).
• Maintain repair/maintenance records for vehicles worked on.
• Fault finding and diagnostics.
• MOT preparation.

HGV Mechanic / Technician | Close to Sittingbourne, Kent | Starting Salary £50,000 pa + Overtime 1.5x + Benefits

The company are an independently owned, land management, engineering, sea freight import and exporting company, with several facilities in the South-East of England.

I am looking to recruit an experienced HGV Mechanic / Technician to join this busy and friendly workshop, based near Sittingbourne, Kent. This is an excellent opportunity to progress your technical career, working for a company that maintains their own fleet.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years proven and stable employment background working as an HGV Technician within a busy independent or main HGV dealers
• Be qualified to City and Guilds Level II or NVQ Level III in Vehicle Mechanics
• Be able to use diagnosis machines
• Be ambitious and open to career progression
• If you have a Class 2 or 1 license fantastic. However, the company will put you through for a Class 1 license after a qualifying period of time with the company

Duties

• Performing maintenance and repairs to the companies fleet of heavy vehicles
• Performing regular inspection and general preventive maintenance services such as tyre rotation and oil changes
• Maintaining records of vehicles that have been repaired or handled
• To fault find diagnose
• MOT Preparation

On Offer

• Starting basic salary: £50,000 base + Overtime paid x1.5 + Pension + Holidays + Company Incentives
• Monday to Friday (Some Saturdays when required, but is not often)
• This is a permanent position.
