Job summary

Babcock invites you to join a 4-year Engineering (Design and Manufacture) Graduate Apprenticeship at HM Naval Base Clyde in Scotland, combining paid work with a BEng (Hons) degree and hands-on Fleet Engineering experience.

Based in the Fleet Engineering team, you’ll support maintenance, operation and improvement of the Royal Navy's submarine fleet, gaining exposure to design, asset management and safety-critical engineering in a regulated defence environment.

Qualifications

• SCQF Level 10 graduate apprenticeship entry requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support maintenance, operation and continuous improvement of the Royal Navy's submarine fleet.
• Work within the Fleet Engineering team at HM Naval Base Clyde.
• Develop knowledge in engineering design, asset management and maintenance planning.

Education

Scottish Highers: BBCC incl Maths and a science/technology subject

Engineering Foundation Apprenticeships (Higher B)

Modern Apprenticeship SCQF Level 6 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (two Highers at B)
