Job summary

Jobwise Ltd in Warrington is seeking a Fleet Coordinator to support a busy logistics operation. You will help manage breakdowns, repairs and routine maintenance for a large HGV fleet, ensuring safety and efficiency.

The role requires strong communication, organisational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The position offers a 4 on/4 off shift pattern, paid weekly, and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Experience in fleet coordination, transport or logistics administration.
• Experience in customer service within logistics environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate vehicle breakdowns, repairs and maintenance with external suppliers.
• Respond to driver calls and resolve queries within timescales.
• Assess reported vehicle defects and determine actions.
• Take ownership of fleet incidents and liaise with accident management and operations teams.
• Update operations teams on repair progress and ETA.
• Maintain accurate fleet records including breakdowns and purchase orders.
• Ensure vehicle maintenance records are compliant.
• Monitor supplier performance.
• Complete incident escalation documentation.

Do you enjoy solving problems and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment? This is an exciting opportunity for a Fleet Coordinator to join a leading logistics business based in Appleton, Warrington, providing essential support to HGV drivers and the wider fleet operation. As a Fleet Coordinator, you'll play a key role in ensuring vehicle breakdowns, repairs and maintenance are managed efficiently, helping to keep a large commercial fleet operating safely and effectively.

What will you be doing as a Fleet Coordinator?

• Managing and coordinating vehicle breakdowns, repairs and routine maintenance with external suppliers
• Responding to driver calls and resolving queries within agreed timescales
• Assessing reported vehicle defects and determining the appropriate course of action
• Taking ownership of fleet incidents, liaising with accident management and operational teams
• Updating operations teams with repair progress and estimated completion times
• Maintaining accurate fleet records, including breakdowns, defects and purchase orders
• Ensuring vehicle maintenance records are compliant
• Monitoring supplier performance
• Completing incident escalation documentation

We would LOVE to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:

• Previous experience as a Fleet Coordinator, Fleet Administrator, Transport Administrator, Logistics Coordinator, Logistics Administrator, Customer Service Advisor, Helpdesk Advisor, Operations Administrator or Transport Planner
• Previous experience working within a customer service, logistics, fleet or transport environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to build relationships at all levels
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Good problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Competent using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, with accurate keyboard skills
• Ability to work independently whilst also contributing to a collaborative team

• £13.32 per hour
• Weekly pay
• 4 on / 4 off shift pattern, working 6:00am - 6:00pm
• Temporary assignment until the end of the year, with the potential for longer-term opportunities
