Job summary

GXO Sainsbury's, Northampton site, is seeking a Fleet Controller to help keep our transport operation running smoothly and efficiently.

You will work closely with drivers and the transport team to coordinate the fleet and ensure everything stays on track. This full-time role is based in Northampton, with a Monday to Friday schedule and a salary of £29,000 per annum.

Qualifications

• Experience in vehicle fleet or transport administration.
• Knowledge of driver hours and vehicle maintenance regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Office and fleet systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to manage high data volumes and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administration of a large fleet of LGV vehicles.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and policies.
• Input and maintain records in the Fleet Management System.
• Keep documentation up to date and accessible.

Job description

Join our team at GXO Sainsbury's as a Fleet Controller in our Northampton site.

You'll play a key role in keeping our transport operation running smoothly and efficiently every day. Working closely with drivers and the wider transport team, you'll help coordinate the fleet and ensure everything stays on track.

What you'll do on a typical day:

• Work alongside the Compliance Manager and assist in the administration of a large fleet of LGV Vehicles
• Ensure compliance with all company standards, policies and procedures
• Input and maintain record within the Fleet Management System and other external systems
• Ensure documentation is kept up to date, accessible and in good order in line with current legislation and guidelines
• Manage fleet compliance, raise defect issues
• Help to promote a culture of vehicle accident reporting

What will you bring?

• Previous experience in vehicle fleet or transport administration
• Knowledge of current transport legistlations covering driver's hours and vehicle maintenance legistlations
• Strong MS Office skills, experience using AxscendVehicle management systemand Tachomaster
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage high volumes of data and able to meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail
