Michael Page is recruiting a Projects Officer in Birmingham to support the delivery of a portfolio of strategic projects within the not-for-profit sector. You will coordinate workstreams, maintain plans, risk registers, and reports while engaging with schools, partners and senior leaders.

The role requires strong organisational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities and meticulous data reporting. Hybrid working options are available.

  • Experience organising meetings, workshops, and stakeholder events.
  • Experience maintaining project documentation, risk registers, and action logs.
  • Experience producing reports, management information, and meeting minutes.
  • Strong administrative and organisational experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support the delivery of a portfolio of strategic projects and initiatives, taking ownership of workstreams and ensuring milestones are met.
  • Develop and monitor project plans, action trackers, risk registers, schedules, and documentation.
  • Track progress, identify risks and issues, and escalate as needed.
  • Provide project coordination support for academy transfer activities and change programmes.
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement with colleagues, schools, external partners, and senior leaders.
  • Collect, analyse, and present data to support decision‑making and evaluation.
  • Produce reports and dashboards for governance committees.

  • Manage stakeholder engagement activities, building and maintaining effective relationships with colleagues, schools, external partners, and senior leaders.
  • Collect, analyse, and present data and information to support effective decision-making and project evaluation.
  • Produce project reports, management information, progress updates, training completion statistics, and performance reports for senior leadership and governance committees.
  • Support the development, maintenance, and reporting of the Strategic Management Assurance Dashboard.
  • Coordinate meetings, workshops, consultation sessions, and engagement events, ensuring all logistical arrangements are in place.
  • Organise agendas, prepare meeting papers, take accurate minutes, and monitor the completion of agreed actions.
  • Act as a key point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates and supporting effective communication across the organisation.
  • Support departmental activities, particularly those relating to risk management, compliance, governance, audit requirements, and data protection.
  • Maintain accurate project records and documentation, ensuring information is current, accessible, and compliant with organisational standards.
  • Monitor project performance against agreed objectives, timescales, and key deliverables, highlighting any concerns or opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide general administrative and coordination support to ensure the successful delivery of strategic projects and organisational priorities.

Experience

Job Offer
  • Salary advertised at £35,000 dependent on the level of experience.
  • Fixed‑term contract until September 2027 with possible extension.
