Job summary

The Ritz London is seeking a dynamic Shift Engineer to join the Maintenance Department. You will respond to a variety of maintenance tasks, including heating and air conditioning, electrical, and plumbing systems, while ensuring guest comfort and safety.

This role requires excellent communication with guests, colleagues, contractors and service providers. A background in five‑star hotel properties and knowledge of fire and safety procedures are highly desirable; fluency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Maintenance / Engineering procedures or skills desired
• Relevant experience in a Five‑star hotel property is desirable
• Knowledge of fire, safety, and risk procedures
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work under pressure and have strong organisational skills
• Good command of the English language
• Display a polite and professional attitude to internal and external guests

Responsibilities

• Respond to a variety of maintenance tasks including heating and air conditioning systems, electrical and plumbing services
• Interact with guests, colleagues, contractors, service providers and visitors; communicate effectively and respond to queries promptly
