Job summary

Burhill Group Limited (BGL) is recruiting Fitness Instructors to deliver excellent services at all times, ensuring customer satisfaction and maximising membership retention. You will contribute to day-to-day operations and assist in the overall service of our health and fitness facilities.

You will ensure health and safety policies are followed, promote the highest levels of customer service and staff engagement, and support the health & fitness team in the day-to-day running of the facilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain presentation, cleanliness and hygiene of the club.
• Daily monitoring of gym equipment and facilities, recording cleanliness and reporting faults.
• Be involved in day-to-day running of the health & fitness facilities with the team.
• Monitor pool standards by performing plant room checks and testing water quality.
• Conduct regular checks of pool, spa area and changing facilities ensuring policy adherence.
• Assist in developing new ideas to promote member motivation and retention.
• Administer first aid, assist in pool rescues and apply resuscitation as necessary.
• Commit to continuous personal and professional development.
• Comply with BGL policies, health & safety procedures, and Emergency Action Plan.
• Undertake any further duties requested by management.

POSITION: Fitness Instructors

RESPONSIBLE TO: Health & Fitness Manager

MAIN DUTIES:

The delivery of excellent services at all timers to ensure customer satisfaction and maximise membership retention. To provide day-to-day task and assist in the overall service of the health & fitness facilities.

Ensure health and safety policies and procedures are followed; all whilst promoting the highest levels of customer service and staff engagement.

Responsibilities of this role will include (but are not limited to):

• Contribute and help deliver our company values to the high standards.
• Ensure the presentation, cleanliness and hygiene of the club is maintained to a high standard at all times.
• Daily monitoring of gym equipment and the facilities, monitoring and recording cleanliness and reporting any damage or faults as per company policy.
• Be involved and support the health & Fitness team in the day to day running of the facilities.
• Monitoring of the pool standards by completing plant room checks and testing the quality of the water following the Pool Operation guidelines.
• Completing regular checks of the pool, spa area and changing facilities and its users making sure our company policies are being adhered to at all times.
• Take the inactive in developing new ideas to promote members motivation and retention
• Administer first aid, assist in pool rescues and apply resuscitation as necessary.
• Demonstrate commitment to your continuous personal and professional development.
• Comply with BGL personnel policies and procedures and health & safety procedures including the Normal Operating Procedures and Emergency Action Plan.
• To undertake any further duties requested by the management.
