Job summary

High Life Highland is seeking staff to support its Leisure team by delivering courses, guiding participants and promoting a safe, welcoming environment in line with the charity's values. The role involves coaching across abilities, planning activities, and maintaining clear records, while upholding safety and sustainability standards.

Applicants will guide customers according to governing body guidelines, perform risk assessments, handle fees and contribute to continuous improvement of HLH

Responsibilities

  • Actively promote a positive, collaborative workplace culture to boost morale, productivity and performance.
  • Instruct and guide customers through courses matching their fitness and skill levels, with pre-planning.
  • Instruct customers per National Governing Body guidelines of good practice in sport.
  • Ensure risk assessments are carried out prior to activities and equipment checked.
  • Ensure customers feel welcome, enjoy activity and can seek guidance on ongoing practice.
  • Maintain registers, records and statistics per established procedures.
  • Follow Normal Operating Procedure and Emergency Action Plan for facilities.
  • Take fees for activities and account for monies per procedures.
  • Set up and tidy away equipment.
  • Pursue CPD and contribute to HLH continuous improvement.
  • Attend training online or in person.
  • Aim to reduce wastage and uphold sustainability in tasks.
  • Support other areas of HLH across the Leisure team cross-functionally.
  • Maintain awareness of risk management responsibilities per HLH Risk Policy.
