Job summary

Evervault Inc. in London is seeking its first Security Engineer to own application security from day one. You will work with engineers to secure our modular card payment infrastructure and drive security decisions across products.

The role balances hands-on security engineering with audits, questionnaires, and customer reviews to build customer confidence in how we protect data. We primarily use Rust and Node.js on AWS.

Qualifications

• Hands-on security engineering experience in production systems.
• Experience conducting security audits and risk assessments.
• Knowledge of PCI DSS and data security standards.
• Ability to write production-quality code in modern languages.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and secure deployment.

Responsibilities

• Find and fix vulnerabilities in applications and infrastructure.
• Build security checks and tooling into development and shipping processes.
• Collaborate with engineers on secure product and system design decisions.
• Own security and compliance audits, including evidence collection and remediation.
• Lead customer security reviews and respond to questionnaires clearly.
