Job summary

Wexler, a London-based AI security focused company, is hiring its first dedicated security lead. You will own the security program spanning infrastructure, product, and compliance, working with engineering and leadership to demonstrate a demonstrably secure posture to customers.

You will implement and scale tooling (EDR/MDM/ZTNA), drive secure SDLC practices, and perform risk assessments while aligning with ISO 27001 and SOC 2 standards.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience deploying and managing security tooling (EDR, MDM, ZTNA, scanners).
• Experience navigating enterprise security tools across vendors in AWS.
• Solid foundations in networking, systems and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience reviewing and improving product and infrastructure security (secure SDLC).
• Ability to automate repetitive security tasks (Python/PowerShell/Bash).
• Familiarity with ISO 27001 or SOC 2 and translating controls into policies.
• Think proactively about risk reduction and ownership across domains.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of existing security tooling and implement new ones, ensuring they’re configured, maintained and scaled.
• Embed secure-by-design practices across the development lifecycle, including threat modelling and CI/CD hardening.
• Monitor systems for irregular behaviour and design detection and prevention mechanisms.
• Ensure infrastructure aligns with industry standards (OWASP Top 10, AWS Well-Architected).
• Conduct risk assessments including third-party/vendor reviews and internal evaluations.
• Document and maintain security policies, procedures, and controls (ISO 27001 ISMS).
• Partner with GTM and leadership to demonstrate security maturity to customers.
