Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Reading is seeking a Transport First Line Manager to lead daily transport operations and drive performance across the network.

You will oversee a motivated team, develop transport strategies, uphold safety standards and deliver efficient, on-time deliveries. The role requires hands-on leadership and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

• Take the Lead: Oversee our daily transport operations, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries to our customers
• Innovate & Optimise: Develop and implement transport strategies that enhance efficiency and drive success. Your ideas will help us stay ahead of the curve!
• Ensure Safety: Uphold the highest safety standards and compliance regulations, creating a safe and secure workplace for everyone.
• Team Builder: Develop, engage and inspire your team, creating an environment where every colleague can do their best
• Analyse & Improve: Monitor performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement. Your analytical skills will help us deliver excellence every day!

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• Can lead from the front, winning hearts and minds and providing coaching and mentorship
• Previous management experience - people relations/HR skills
• Previous transport management experience - desirable
• Have excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
• Aren't afraid to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in when needed
