Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Coventry is seeking a First Line Manager to lead daily warehouse operations, drive productivity, and uphold high safety standards while ensuring customer service KPIs are met.

You will allocate resources, monitor performance, conduct audits, and coach teams through regular 1:1s, coordinating with Shift Managers to deliver operational excellence.

Shift patterns: Any 5 from 7, 6am to 2pm / 2pm to 10pm

We are looking for a First Line Manager (FLM) to lead daily warehouse operations, drive productivity, maintain high safety standards, and ensure all customer and operational KPIs are achieved.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and allocate resource across operational areas to ensure workload, service levels, and customer priorities are achieved.
• Monitor productivity, performance, and operational KPIs, taking action to address any shortfalls and improve efficiency.
• Conduct audits, health & safety checks, quality inspections, and ensure compliance with company processes and procedures.
• Manage colleague welfare and performance through return-to-work interviews, regular 1:1s, coaching, and attendance management.
• Produce operational reports, manage shift handovers, and collaborate with Shift Managers and wider stakeholders to deliver operational excellence.

• Someone with previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, distribution, or supply chain leadership role.(Essential)
• A confident people manager who can engage, coach, and develop teams to achieve high performance.
• An individual who is comfortable analysing operational data, monitoring productivity, and making informed decisions.
• Someone with excellent organisational skills who can prioritise workloads and manage changing operational demands.
• A proactive leader with a strong focus on health & safety, quality, customer service, and continuous improvement.
