Job summary

GXO Logistics in Daventry is seeking experienced First Line Managers to lead our Daikin operation. You will manage shifts, develop teams and drive performance to meet safety, quality and customer service targets.

This full-time, permanent role offers a salary of £32,200 per year plus 33 days' annual leave and a comprehensive benefits package including pension, dental insurance and online GP service. You’ll work rotating day shifts or a fixed night shift in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a warehouse, logistics or supply chain environment, with responsibility for leading teams and delivering operational performance.
• Strong people management and coaching skills, with a proven ability to motivate and engage teams within a fast-paced environment.
• Experience managing performance through KPIs and operational reporting, with the ability to make informed decisions using data and insight.
• Good understanding of Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills, with a proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead warehouse operations during your shift, ensuring productivity, quality, safety and customer service targets are consistently achieved across all operational activities
• Coach, develop and support warehouse colleagues, creating a high-performance culture focused on accountability, engagement and continuous improvement
• Monitor operational performance through KPIs and management systems, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and implementing corrective actions where required
• Effectively plan and deploy resources to ensure customer requirements, service level agreements and business objectives are achieved
• Build strong working relationships with operational support functions including inventory, customer service and QHSE teams to ensure seamless operational delivery

With a newly renewed contract and an enhanced management structure, this is an exciting opportunity to join a growing operation and help drive performance, engagement and operational excellence across the site.

These are full-time, permanent positions, with opportunities available across both rotating day shifts and a fixed night shift
