DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business, is seeking a First Line Manager to play a vital role in coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods and dispatching orders.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• Assist Management by reporting on and monitoring the effectiveness of warehousing activities and performance in your designated area.
• Supervise, implement, and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct reports, ensuring all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames, maintaining standards of excellence.
• Track and trace orders using digital in-house tracking software, maintaining records at an optimal level.
• Maintain effective relationships with customers.
• Manage a span of control of 15-20 people, covering all people aspects.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Previous practical experience as a supervisor or Team Leader within a logistics environment.
• Experience in the preparation and distribution of volume orders.
• Computer literacy with practical knowledge of logistics software packages.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organize, and train direct reports.

A recognized qualification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics will be highly regarded.
