Job summary

MedicsPro is recruiting an experienced First Contact Physiotherapist to deliver face-to-face musculoskeletal clinics within a primary care setting in Mid Wales. You will assess and manage patients presenting with undifferentiated musculoskeletal conditions, working autonomously within an agreed scope of practice.

Current HCPC registration and completion of Stage 1 of the First Contact Practitioner Roadmap are essential.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist is required.
• BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent qualification.
• Completion of Stage 1 of the First Contact Practitioner Roadmap.
• Strong MSK assessment and clinical reasoning experience.
• Ability to manage an autonomous caseload within an agreed scope of practice.
• Experience using EMIS or a comparable clinical system.

Responsibilities

• Deliver face-to-face musculoskeletal clinics in a primary care setting.
• Assess and manage undifferentiated musculoskeletal presentations.
• Develop appropriate treatment and patient self-management plans.
• Manage new and follow-up patient appointments.
• Identify red flags and make clinically appropriate onward referrals.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records using EMIS.
• Previous experience as a First Contact Physiotherapist.
• Primary care, GP practice or community service experience.
• Clinical leadership, supervision or mentoring experience.
