Job summary

Response Healthcare Group is recruiting a First Contact Practitioner (Physiotherapist) for a full-time temporary position in the Oxford area, up to six weeks, 37.5 hours per week.

You will triage, assess and treat MSK conditions in primary care, refer when needed, and maintain accurate patient records. HCPC and CSP registrations are required, with 5+ years’ physiotherapy and 3+ MSK experience, plus a UK driving licence and enhanced DBS.

Qualifications

• Valid HCPC registration and CSP membership.
• BSc in Physiotherapy.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a qualified Physiotherapist.
• Minimum of 3 years MSK experience.
• Strong communication, time management and clinical reasoning skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive triages and manage both common and complex MSK conditions at the first point of contact within primary care.
• Perform physiotherapy assessments, diagnoses, and treatments for acute and chronic injuries.
• Apply advanced clinical reasoning to form accurate diagnoses and management plans, including further investigations, lifestyle changes, and rehabilitation advice.
• Refer patients to secondary care, physiotherapy services, or MDT members as necessary.
• Provide professional and effective advice to patients and caregivers.
• Ensure all patient records are maintained and updated in a timely and accurate manner.
