AB InBev is seeking a Firmware Lead Engineer to drive development of a new connected-appliance platform. You will lead firmware architecture, oversee ESP32-C5 software, and coordinate delivery across squads, contractors, and external partners. This role includes line management of one Firmware Developer and ensuring production readiness.

You will steer testing, security, and regulatory alignment while collaborating with hardware, cloud, and product teams to deliver a robust, scalable solution.

Qualifikationen

• Strong hands-on embedded software development in C++ with RTOS experience.
• Proven ability to bring up, debug, and test firmware on physical devices.
• Experience with connected products and device-to-cloud integration.
• Ability to design modular software and communicate trade-offs.
• Experience leading technical delivery and mentoring engineers.

Aufgaben

• Define and evolve firmware architecture for the device platform.
• Develop and review embedded C++ software for ESP32-C5.
• Guide event-driven messaging and typed contracts for modularity.
• Integrate firmware with sensors, actuators, and UI components.
• Support provisioning, TLS, OTA updates, and cloud integrations.
• Coordinate with product, hardware, cloud, and external partners.
• Line-manage the Firmware Developer and set engineering quality standards.
