Zealot Labs, Inc. in London seeks a Firmware Emulation Engineer to build AI-driven workflows that emulate non-Linux embedded targets and analyze proprietary RTOS and bare-metal environments.

Reverse engineer firmware from printers, industrial controllers, POS terminals, and other devices; design boot and peripheral stubs; work across ARM, MIPS, AArch64, PowerPC, RISC-V architectures with C/C++ or Rust. This is an on-site role in London.

Qualifications

• Experience with non-Linux embedded firmware (RTOS/bare-metal) required.
• Strong C/C++ or Rust for low-level systems work.
• Ability to work from zero documentation using firmware dumps.
• Familiarity with boot flows, memory layouts, peripherals.
• Experience with QEMU, Unicorn, or emulation harnesses.
• Curiosity about niche hardware and unconventional devices.

Responsibilities

• Build agentic systems that emulate non-Linux embedded targets.
• Reverse engineer firmware from niche, obscure devices and rehost it.
• Design workflows to map boot logic, runtime dependencies, and peripheral stubs for proprietary RTOS/bare-metal environments.
• Turn manual reverse engineering into scalable AI-driven workflows.
• Work across diverse architectures and embedded environments.
