Job summary

West Midlands Fire Service is inviting expressions of interest for Firefighter (Control) inter-service transferees to SWMFC in Birmingham. The role supports emergency calls, mobilisation of resources and coordination across two counties from a leading control room.

Applicants must be competent against the Firefighter (Control) NOS or developing towards it; 42‑hour average weekly schedule on a four‑watch pattern with primary site in Birmingham and a secondary West Midlands location on short

Qualifications

• Must be sector competent against the National Occupational Standards for Firefighter (Control).
• Knowledge of VISION 4 is desirable but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support your team through spate periods and business continuity.
• Promote change within organisational culture and embody WMFS values (DICE).
