Job summary

Brandon James is seeking an experienced Fire Surveyor to join a specialist fire safety consultancy, covering Manchester and the North West. You will conduct site surveys across residential, commercial and mixed-use buildings, producing clear reports with practical remediation recommendations.

The role offers hybrid working, a competitive £40,000-£50,000 salary depending on experience, and ongoing technical training with CPD. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in fire surveying or related fields.
• Knowledge of fire doors, compartmentation and fire-stopping systems.
• Strong report-writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently on site and travel across Manchester/North West.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking fire compartmentation surveys.
• Completing fire door inspections.
• Inspecting fire-stopping and passive fire protection measures.
• Identifying defects and areas of non-compliance.
• Producing detailed reports with practical recommendations.
• Liaising with clients, contractors and property managers.
• Managing site visits across Manchester and surrounding areas.
