Job summary

Daniel Owen Ltd is currently recruiting for an experienced Fire Door Joiner to carry out installation, maintenance, and remedial works across social housing properties. The role offers long-term work with potential permanent placement and immediate start.

You will work on fire doors, frames, and components, ensuring compliance with safety standards while delivering high-quality results for occupied and void properties. CIS rates apply with a choice of vehicle provision.

Qualifications

• CSCS Card required
• NVQ in Carpentry & Joinery
• Asbestos Awareness Certificate
• Manual Handling Certificate
• DBS Check
• Experience with fire doors in housing environments
• Full UK Driving Licence preferred

Responsibilities

• Install new fire doors and frames to required specifications
• Carry out fire door remedial works and maintenance
• Adjust hinges, closers, locks, and seals as needed
• Ensure compliance with current fire safety regulations and standards
• Complete fire door inspections and rectify defects
• Work in occupied and void housing properties with high customer service
• Complete job sheets and compliance paperwork accurately

Fire Door Joiner

£25.00 per hour CIS (Own Vehicle) | £22.00 per hour CIS (Company Van Provided)

Location: Social Housing Properties (Various Locations)
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Start Date: ASAP

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fire Door Joiner to carry out fire door installation, maintenance, and remedial works across occupied and void social housing properties.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term work with the potential to move into a permanent position with a well-established contractor.

Essential Requirements

• Valid CSCS Card
• Relevant NVQ Qualification in Carpentry & Joinery or associated trade
• Asbestos Awareness Certificate
• Manual Handling Certificate
• Willingness to undergo a DBS Check
• Proven experience working on fire doors within residential or social housing environments
• Full UK Driving Licence preferred

Duties Will Include

• Installation of new fire doors and frames to required specifications
• Carrying out fire door remedial works, upgrades, and maintenance
• Adjusting, repairing, and replacing door components including intumescent strips, hinges, closers, locks, and seals
• Ensuring all fire doors comply with current fire safety regulations and standards
• Completing fire door inspections and identifying defects requiring rectification
• Working within occupied and void social housing properties whilst maintaining high levels of customer service
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
• Accurately completing job sheets and associated compliance paperwork
