Job summary

Hall & Kay is recruiting for a Fire Sprinkler Project Manager to lead complex sprinkler installations in Manchester. You will drive projects on time and to budget, coordinating Sales, Design and QS, and ensuring regulatory compliance throughout the life cycle.

You will manage programmes, client communications, and documentation, while maintaining strong on-site leadership and cost control. A competitive package reflects experience and responsibilities.

  • Experience in managing complex, large-budget projects in construction.
  • Experience coordinating on-site labour and resources.
  • Familiarity with project documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project initiation and handover meetings with stakeholders.
  • Produce and maintain project programme and client communications.
  • Maintain central project records and OT&M/As-Fitted documentation.
  • Attend cost-to-complete (CTC) meetings and manage cost control.
  • Identify variations, raise PORs with suppliers, and manage final accounts.
  • Ensure installers are briefed, competent and compliant.
  • Oversee on-site resources to keep the programme on track.
  • Participate in internal and third-party audits and inspections.
  • Record supplier non-conformities and consult subject matter experts.

Job description

You will deliver Fire Sprinkler projects on time, to budget and in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements.

What you will be doing
  • Leading project Initiation/handover meetings with all stakeholders including Sales, Design, QS.
  • Production and maintenance of project programme.
  • Communication with clients throughout the life of a project.
  • Maintenance of central project file records.
  • Attendance at internal project Cost To Complete (CTC) meetings.
  • Completion and submission to relevant stakeholders of all end-of-project documentation e.g. O&M, As-Fitted Drawings, Certification.
  • Ensuring installers are adequately briefed, are competent & qualified to fulfill all project requirements.
  • Raising PORs using authorised Tier 1 suppliers.
  • Supporting and managing of on-site resources ensuring all issues are resolved and the programme maintained.
  • Participating with internal & third party audits.
  • Identifying, recording & ensuring the resolution of any supplier generated non-conformities.
  • Consulting with subject matter experts where required.
  • Management of material and labour costs.
  • Identification and invoicing of variations to contract.
  • Raising of final accounts.
  • Undertaking & recording on-site inspections in accordance with EHS001 scheduled frequency.
  • Completion of all H&S related documentation Inc. RAMs, attendance sheets etc.
What we will need from you (all essential)
  • Working knowledge of BS EN 12845 & LPS1048 Schemes.
  • Working knowledge of engineering drawings.
  • LPCB Site Inspection Module 1 Competent.
  • Familiarity with the principles of Prince 2 project management methodologies.
  • Experience in managing complex, large budget projects in the construction industry.
  • Practiced at management of on-site labour & resources.
  • Valid SMSTS & CSCS Card Holder.
  • Knowledge of CDM Management Principles.
  • Extensive knowledge of production of project documentation eg. RAMs, Quality Plans, Project Plans, Cost Sheets (CTC), Trackers.
  • Familiarity with all standard MS office applications
  • Commercial acumen - Identifies and maximises project cost savings.
